"I Love You" Three little words that use to have ALOT of meaning, but with our rapid over growing society does it still have that same meaning or does it now lack its luster? When I was young being in love meant something BIG I mean my grandparents for example...thats love they were always there for each other and you know come to think about it i never saw them once fight...they were there for each other supported each other, laughed, talked, gosh they even held hands where ever they went...two love birds still in love..but now that they are gone and what I see around me is that love isnt exactly what it use to be anymore. My past boyfriend I was dating for over three years...I told him I loved him and he promised me that he would never leave me that he would never love anyone else but me, and that he "loved me" but yet here I am without him all because some girl tore us apart? What ever happened to "forever" what happened to the love? Simple its not love...I am in college now and you know I dont think the guys I am dating are just because the love my company...they want sex...college is like that I mean they say alot of shit to get it too...It is not just the guys in college looking to score but the guys that say they love their girl just so they can have sex....Isn't that a bit LOW?"I love you" use to have meaning...now to me its just something that people say to get that "AWWW how sweet!" effect from women...If the girlfriend says it first they expect the guy to say it too..I told the guy I am dating i love him...and I do I mean Ive liked him for a while but now that i know him and ive found out about his past i want to be the one he is with that makes him happy....he hasnt said i love you back but you know what I am glad that he hasnt.....because it means he isnt ready he has to think about it and i know he cares about me so thats fine...Girls dont expect your man to say i love you right back if you say it first and dont be afraid to say it first either i mean if that is how you feel you can supress your emotions just cuz he doesnt say it first....Guys dont say it UNLESS YOU MEAN IT!!!! Seriously it can get you into ALOT of trouble if you say it too soon! Same with the girls if you say it too soon you sound clingy....thats like "RUN FOR THE HILLS" ciode to men...Relax you dont have to be in love to have a good time together just as long as you care for each other thats what you should be happy about....But really lets not over use the"I love You"'s because its already lacking its luster....
Is there really such a thing as LOVE?

yea kids, only say it if you mean it. I believe it exists bc I feel it. there's a distinct difference between I LOVE YOU and LET'S DATE FOR A WHILE/LET'S HOOK UP. It's sad that that's lost on some people now.

Yeah I know what you mean. People too hastily say it before they actually mean it or just say it because they're trying to convince the other person that they are in love with them so they can get something more out of the relationship.
You're right,it's definitely been taken too easily in society today and people should think twice before saying to their significant other until people have been dating for a long while and truly know the other's feelings.
