At First I was skeptical, the word techno seemed fake and reminded me more of technology than any music that I had ever heard. But, what choice did I have? It wasn't my cd player let alone my car - so I just went along for the ride (litteraly too). As I listened and felt beat in my body I became more accepting. It just makes you want to dance. The more I listened the ore I like it. I listined to other artists and found that like any style of music a few styles and groups stick out. Techno was added to the list of music that I rnjoy, it has even become one of my favorites.
My experence with techno is not an unusual one. I have noticed that techno is becomming more wide spread not just in the Minneapolis - in my little suberb town too. Techno had a strong beat and is quite fun. Often times it is assoiated to raves and glow sticking http://www.progressiveu.org/184420-glow-sticking and Dj's (spinning).
Techno is a style of music and should be apprishated by more people. If you go in with an open mind and a fun spirit I guarebntte you'll like it. For some good techno tunes search "Techno" at the I*tunes music store. There are also a lot of techno songs on DDR (dance Dance Reveloution)!!! CHECK IT OUT - AND HAVE FUN!

Techno is pretty cool. If you haven't already heard of him the scatman is pretty entertaining he is a different kind of techno. I am not really sure how to descride him but you should look him up.
I started loving techno music when DDR came out for game consoles. I got really into it and with my surround sound system it got me more and more pumped up like you had mentioned. Me and my friends listen to it often at parties where my friend DJ's and in the car. But even though it is fun to get hyped up to it I found it to be sort of dangerous while driving. While I listen to it and tend to raise the volume up I find myself also putting the pedal to the metal once it gets to an up-tempo beat and slowing down when it gets to a calmer melody. Especially when driving to school on the freeway. But now that I recognized it I avoid listening to techno in the car. But otherwise I enjoy it a lot. One of my favorites is DJ Tiesto and Warp Brothers.
Good thing you noticed how it affected your driving!
Just like glowsticking, techno has been around for a while. You just haven't been looking for it.
Techno is a nice break from the same style of music that's overplayed on the radio.
