I have a whole new respect for Vanessa Anne Hudgens. The famed High School Musical star recently had nude pictures of her leaked onto the Internet. It's been confirmed that the pictures actually are of Vanessa and her rep has apologized saying that the pictures were meant for private reasons. She supposedly took them for her boyfriend, which from what I've read, I assume to mean Zac Efron, her fellow HSM co-star. Today, US Weekly has reported that Disney has released Vanessa from her contract.
Contrary to others' opinion that she's disappointed her fans as a role model, I actually like her more now that these pictures were leaked. If she took the pictures for her boyfriend, I think its naive of other people to have assumed she isn't a sexual person. She's 18, and if Zac Efron isn't gay, she's most definitely doing him. I like her more knowing she's not a total goody-two-shoes Disney kiss-ass.
On the other hand, I have a sneaking suspicion that she might have leaked these pictures on purpose. Having nude pictures of her out on the Internet would have undoubtedly lead to Disney firing her, and being fired from Disney is probably the smartest thing she could do for her career. Now, she can do whatever she wants. The fact that the leak was "accidental", that the pictures weren't taken professionally, and that they were meant for her boyfriend maintains most of her image. Now she's broken the Disney image without seeming like a slut. Pretty smart. That is, if she leaked the photos.
Either way, she's 18, free of Disney, and with all her international fame still intact. Now I might actually considering tuning in to whatever she does next.

Haha, great post. My respect for her hasn't diminished. Shes doing what all good celebs do...do things to get people talking. She is the biggest news item from Disney at the moment.

Apparently, Disney hasn't fired her though. The whole thing totally goes against the Disney code, but High School Musical is the Disney Channel's biggest money-maker to date.

Of course not. Every guy above the age of 14 will now tune in to the next installment. Except for me, I hate High School Musical. The Disney people will keep her as long as they can milk money from her. Which could be awhile, the Disney people aren't stupid and they're business people after all, lol.
Good post, it's refreshing from all the other ones out there. I suppose I lost a little respect for her, but it is not going to make me dislike her. I like when people share a different view of things though.
