Democracy has resurrected! Youth takes charge for a bright future!

I consider myself to be an active member in the society, always keeping myself up to date with events that can change or affect my future. And what has astonished me in the past couple of months, is that other young people are starting to do the same. Never before in history have so many young people been so pationate in politics.

I don't know if it's because of the candidates, or shall I say candidate, that has changed the way young people view democracy. I am of course referring to Barak Obama, who in my opinion has changed politics, the way young people view it, and history. Is it because he is young? Or is it his views? Or is it both? Maybe the combination of both is what makes Obama so popular by young people of today.

Obama has caused this influx of young people to care for our politics, something those old candidates could never do. He revives us, shows us that it's important to care for our future. And this uprising of young people will definatly change the face of history.

Who better than to lead the country than the men and women of tommorrow? The fact that we are starting to care, will eventually help us. We need to care for our future, and put emphasis on the fact that the decisions of today will one day come back and bite us in the rear. So we must be careful and pay attention to our politics of today, so that our tommorrow wont be screwed over.

In the words of Teddy Roosevelt, "Speak softly, carry a big stick". Our actions speak louder than words. So lets not talk about what were going to do for our future. Let us act upon it and start working on our future starting now. We have to take hold of our democracy by the horns and ride into a beautiful future for all of us in the future. Like Obama said in a speech on Febuary 5th, "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."
