So, you want to be a filmmaker?

I love films. I love watching a film and imagining what the script looks like. It's truly amazing when you watch a film and you let the words guide you. When I see a film I like, it's like I know it's well-written. Many people may think I am just a teen with an obsession with movies. I beg to differ.

Though I am your average American teenage girl, I do have some idiosyncrasies. I write whenever I can. If I cannot sleep on the weekend, you will probably find me reading or writing, or listening to music and thinking. I am usually trying to come up with a good idea for a story. I'm editing the book I wrote, while writing college essays, and trying to get through senior year. I am not officially under pressure yet. However, it will probably happen later on. I am sure I'll be under some pressure around the time of mid-term exams. Luckily, for me, since I am a senior, if I have a B average in any given class, I am exempt for finals. With my grades in government, English, and my other classes, that will happen!

I am one of those rare cases. I chose my major freshman year of high school. And it's still the same in my senior. When I start college in the fall of 2008, I WILL be majoring in creative writing. But I really want to branch out into film. I am very visual. I am creative. If I am not allowed to write, you have no idea how it will affect me. I will probably stay up all night with stories brewing in my head. Characters begging me to write down their stories. And, let me tell you, ideas do come out of nowhere. I got the idea for my first novel by staring at the science chalkboard in the eight grade.

I am working on a few screenplays. I have started a few. But, they are on hold for the time being. I need to finish editing my book, get that published, and then...who knows? Well, I'll be in college. I'll do some writing for my classes. Maybe some of that writing will turn into good, maybe even great, stories.

I am only 18. I am young. I have time to experiment with my writing.

Are we twins separated at birth?

Seriously, this could have been me writing this last year. I've worked on books and screenplays as well. Your story sounds a lot like mine.

Ironic, huh?

Cool, I love to write also. I however am more into making films first and writing them second, flip flop from you. I also chose my college major freshman year of high school and can't wait to hear back from the colleges I applied to.
