Today i was witness to someting i thought America had "out-grown", childishness in the way of disrespect to women. I was walking through the halls and saw a girl be "smacked" by a boy. Now, we've all heard, gone along with, and even participated in harmless picking. For some of us it is even a creative way of flirting. This, on the other hand, was so far past the line that it was obserd. The worst part, it hurts me to say, is that i turned and walked away without even a word in her favor. I don't know her or who she is, but I'm not one to witness such a thing. On a lighter note, i've been looking at the standings for the 2A conferance in Track & Field - Wow! The current standing winner for the 1600 is a 4:07:24 and ..... well i forgot already what the two mile is. I've gotten to the point where i perfer to do my best in the mile and then kind of "set-aside" the two mile.
Now to the current events. For somebody who lives in a rural area in east Texas, current events could mean anything. One of my favorite things i've heard in the news is: a man ran his two vehicals into a post office. Supposedly he had "issues" with his mind and was not supposed to be driving and then, well, the rest is history. Beyond that, there is the news politicaly wise. One of the best is the preacher "ofiliated" with Obama. Supposedly he made some crazy comments about the world and America and then got off with saying he was a part of Obama's campaign. man thats crazy stuff. In the way of techollogy and aerospace: NASA has plans and the buggeting has begun for the design of a new space craft. The shuttle has been in use for close to thirty years and its reliability is dropping with each human loss. The new design encorperates the old "rocket" theme with the new technollogies and advances. It is an amazing desgn and can be read about at the nasa website (www.nasa.gov).
until next time.
