Prince Harry in Iraq.

Prince Harry and his squadron from the Blues and Royals have been ordered to deloy to Iraq in May.  A royal member in Iraq seems unreal.  It is some what of an issue, considering he is royalty and all.  He lives in England with guards around him 24/7.  Are his guards going to come with him to Iraq as well?  The public has not yet been told what his responsibilites are to be, but he is most likely to serve with his squadron.  Prince Harry has voiced that he does not want to be treated differently and serve his duty as a staffer in a heavily protected base.  He would rather be with his squadrom.  Off Prince Harry goes into the line of fire.

I think this speaks volumes. For a person of such high power, responsibility, and esteem, who could really--if they didn't want to--use their political capital to get out of going to war, go in as a common officer and serve his time, is wonderful. That should be respected. We need more Prince Harry's in the American government.

If he wants to be treated as an equal, by all means, let him go! No offense, but royalty are humans too - equal just like you and I, they are just born into more privilege than most people will see in a lifetime. Kudos to him for protecting his country when he could easily be living the cushy life in some castle. You go Harry!
