Why do these lyrics make me feel sad? It seems crazy how certain bands like Seether and Staind can seem to make songs that will stop me dead in my tracks.
Do any of you have songs that do that to you?

artists that that use the "rock bottom" point of view with their lyrics tend to feel more sincere, like possibly the song writer has gone through some tough shit, and also seems to be making it known to one person alone. coldplay is another band like that by the way.

I love that song/band and seether's. Another song regarding to staind that stops me is "everything changes" to me I take it as a friendship song because all my friends abandoned me. Many songs have a large impact on me.
Another is "One Moment more" By Mindy smith. It is dedicated to her mother dying and I can relate to it.
"Angel" by sarah m. Makes me think about the people I have lost.
I have been through some stuff in my life. ( I know alot of people have) I like bands that have meaning to their songs. Songs really touch me so deeply.
It probably makes you sad because staind's songs spark emotion.
Although people find manson strange his songs have an impact on me as well. If you can decode them and understand them I can relate some what or understand him better as an artist and what any artist for that matter has gone through. "coma white" by manson is about his wife. " A pill to make you numb and Pill to make you dumb a pill to make you anybody else. But all the drugs in this world won't save her from herself" I used to think he was quite strange but I feel everyone should give him a chance.
Bother by stone sour gets me as well. Like I said alot of songs get me. Every song I know has some memory or something I can relate to.
