What do you think of it?
A- legality B- Moral viewpoint C- Long term solution strategy
Because of a loophole in federal laws you find that you could legally pay your workers less than minimum wage. The cost savings may mean your getting a choice promotion.
a) LEGAL. Well, what a lovely loophole. Grab it while it lasts?
b) What is this, the depths of the industrial revolution? Absolutely not. There's a reason why unions were formed. Won't they come after you, come to think of it??
c) Not exactly a healthy long-term solution….depending on the company. Are you even a long-term company? What company are you a part of? The description for this is vague. Weigh it out. …and Wallmart has been screwing over employees for years apparently. Are you part of Wallmart? Do the employees you would be lowering the wage for need it? Do they need it at all: are they practically volunteering? Or would you be making their lives more desperately poor for a "choice" promotion. How much do you need the promotion? That's really the impetus here. Be smart about money and what you need, but don't forget that it could just as easily be you in the workers position. You are a worker as well, after all, aren't you? Perhaps being cutthroat is not worth it here-however, perhaps it is here.
