Election Week next week

Well I been reading some news this week, I discovered that election week is soon to happen. I have heard on the news briefly of debates about who is running for senator and such. Next year turning 18, and allowed to vote, I must pay attention to politics more often. Lately I been hearing more about Hilary Clinton possibly running for something. I personally wouldn't want her as our president. It is quite scary knowing what our future leader could be. I mean not saying I wouldn't want a female president. But society has changed alot, I just wonder are with ready to have a female president. Maybe Hilary would be a good president, maybe I just don't care for her because I was raised to be conservative, but as i've grown up I found myself to be independent. Sometimes I think Geena Davis would be better for our county:P I just hope for the best for our county.     On the internet I heard that in Arizona, their making it to where if one votes, one might have a lucky chance at winning a million dollars. I guess their doing it because it might increase the voting turnout. It also mentioned that the money can come from unclaimed lotto prizes from the state. My opinion it could advertise others to vote well, but shouldn't it already be a prize enough to have a country of democracy. Seriously, people don't appreciate anything. It is sad when we have people trying to immigrate to our country to have the freedom of voting when our native americans are being apathetic about voting!

people need to vote, i also i like your views on Hillary Clinton...I have no problem voting for a female president but i don't want to vote for a her just to vote for a female, i want the best person to be in the oval office, and thats not hillary

First of all, not to be mean, but if you just now figured out there elections taking place next week, you are definately not watching the news. Secondly, why do you think we are not ready for a woman president. I think we are, however, I do not think it is Hilary ( I am a conservative too).

On another subject, I think that Arizona's idea is a good one. Voting is very very important to ensure that democracy lives. And if we have to bribe people, then that is what we have to do. I think its horrible that we have to bribe people but oh well.

I think it says a lot about our country that we are having to bribe people to make them exercise those rights. Over the centuries far too many people had to fight for those rights... and now people could careless. I guarantee you, however, that if the right were taken away, those lazy folks would have an absolute fit. Bribing people to get them to the polls says more about our society than most are prepared to hear.

you know i just turned in my absentee voter's ballot today, and as i was filling it out i caught my self wondering why am i doing this? i vote in hopes that my voice will be heard and i trust that the people i'm voting for based on their platforms are going to stick to what they say. but i was wondering, how do i know that these people aren't going to get into office and then go back on everything they promised. if politicians kept their promises it seems to me that the country should be getting better, and instead it's going downhill. so yes i vote, but sometimes i can understand why so many americans don't . we just don't know how to trust our politicians.
