I was sitting down when all of a sudden I started to think of artists ,television and how they have such a huge impact on teenagers. Many Parents blame artists and video games for their children's behavior. When it is them who have had the whole time to teach them between bad and wrong. It is true that some video games are rough and have a lot of violence content, however children can't buy the games without their parents permission. Therefore most of the responsibility of teaching a child between wrong and right starts at home. In school manners are not really shown by most of the students, they are impolite and act as if they were characters from television. Even though it is the parents responsibility to monitor what their kids are doing, they may not always be around . And that is the moment where the children do as they have been taught by their parents because being bad or being good is not a one day thing it is a habit. A habit that is learned by seeing, touching and doing. It is true that we as humans are not perfect and that is why the phrase see no evil, hear no evil and do no evil cannot be reflected towards us. Everyone at least once in their life have done something wrong or thought of something bad. Children are more complicated because what they see they want to imitate. If they see Dora The Explorer on Nickelodeon trying to help Boots than the children will want to help others. However if they see Power Rangers and they lean more towards the villains than they will emulate the “ bad guys ”. Parents are the key foundation of the education of their kids and they are the ones who shape them in the “good” or the “bad” guys.
Children/ TV and their parents

What I find interesting is that studies have shown that children's personalities are heavily infuence by their peers, but hardly at all by their parents. Mostly all the parents contribute to a personality is genetic make up.
There are studies that go both ways, like everything. I don't see how parents don't have an influence on their children. If i child steels gum at a grocery store and the parent catches them...how that parent reacts will effect whether or not that child steels again. Older ages, i agree would be more influenced by their peers but still.
