The question is asked among many people, "Will racism ever go away?" I am not nor will I ever be predjudice against another race, but we all find ourselves from time to time not trusting or liking people who are different. So my answere would be no. Becuase humans are not perfect, and any little flaw that we can find in someone, we use that against them. Even if it isn't really a flaw, like skin color. Why? To make us feel superior. Yes, it sounds stupid but it is true. And white people are not always the racist. I have heard about some African Americans who are racist against Arabs, or vice versa. While some are about the past, like slavery, some could be more recent. Like if you see a middle eastern man, what is your first thought? September 11th perhaps. It has happened to me.
Also, the whole slavery thing was FOREVER ago, but people still have not let it die. Come on , while it was cruel, it was also in the past. Forgive and forget. Please!
It is unfortunate thought, that racism exist. But if someone is the least bit different from you, it is human for you not to like them at first. But walk in their shoes. Talk to them, and find out for yourself what someone is really like before you go and make a judgement.
