The other day Japan was rocked by a 6.8 magnitude earthquake about 100 miles off the coast of Tokyo. It shook things up a bit and injured two people. There were a few mid-sized aftershocks that were a bit scary for some people as well. Japan got off lucky this time, since the quake originated in the ocean rather than land, and didn't produce any big waves.
It's only a matter of time before a huge earthquake slams Tokyo itself. The last major quake to hit the city was in 1923, when 140,000 people were killed. Japan being the most earthquake-prone country in the world, and Tokyo being the most densely populated city in the world, it's only a matter of time before an incredible tragedy strikes the Land of the Rising Sun.
I live on Kyushu Island, which is just a bit southwest of Honshu Island, where Tokyo is. If a huge earthquake hits the Tokyo area, I may feel it, but not with any of the devastation as what will happen in Tokyo. As someone who lives in and loves Japan, I am dreading that inevitable day.
Researchers say a huge earthquake could hit Tokyo at any moment - there will be very little or no advanced warning. Yet life goes on in the booming city of 12.8 million. Tokyo is known for its food (ranked #1 food city in the world), its outrageous fashions and technology, its packed subways, its huge cost of living, and speedy lifestyles. Visit it while you can, because someday it'll all change in a matter of seconds. Just hope it doesn't happen while you're there!

I really want to visit Japan. It seems like it would be a really fun but also educational experience.
Make sure you go before the big earthquake hits!
Japan is an amazing country. Be sure to make it here someday!
