Okay, so I've been thinking lately about guys. Oh yeah...that topic.
I'm so tired of seeing guys treat girls badly. Seeing them rip out my friends' hearts makes me cringe, and watching them make sexist jokes is even worse. There's a friend I used to have who would tell me to "Go back to the kitchen" if I got him mad.
Guys of the world: grow up! Learn that we have opinions and feelings just like you! I even asked my teacher today, "When do boys stop being so stupid?" and she replied "They don't!". So what is this? Maybe it's just the world I'm living in, that whole high school area of life, but it doesn't seem to get better after high school. I have met plenty of college guys who still laugh at a girl's expense. Or even worse, pull the "I'll-sleep-with-you-then-never-call-you-again" thing. Ugh.
And this is not saying that all guys are like this. I've met plenty of girls who treat guys the same way, if not worse. It's bad all around, for both sexes. Tasteful jokes are funny...heck, the cracks that comedians like Dane Cook make are hilarious. But if it's said not just in good humor, but with a hint of malice, then it's just wrong.
And I'm tired of people getting treated this way.
So where's the happy ending for this stupid fairy tale?
