So, here's the deal. I'm getting college mail. Alot of it. Tons of it. So much, that I've filled ALL of my drawers in my room with the stuff I keep. That's only the stuff I keep, not the stuff I throw away. Crazy? I know! Wasteful? Definately! All because I asked for information from interested colleges and universities from a couple of sources!
You would think that all of these colleges would get the idea that I'm not interested if I haven't responded to ANY of their mail. As bad as this sounds, my e-mail inbox is 100 times worse. I have started to ignore the address that I gave out. Last time it numbered somewhere in the 600 range and is no doubt increased since the last time I checked it 4 months ago.
Has anyone else had this problem? Just wondering. Ugggghhh...I'm soooo tired of it!

...and most of the time it's the wierd college that you have never heard of and have no intentions of going to. I guess that it's the only way small colleges get people to apply
Yeah, like she said. Either its the really small colleges or the fact that you are a 4.0 student with lots of credentials. What I did to avoid this problem is make 2 email accounts. One for scholarship and college stuff, and the other for personal. Another thing,
I don't ask for mail or emails. I just signed up for Cappex.com and I get college invitations on that website when I log in as well as scholarships.
Just wait till you start getting the military recruiters... Unless you're going into the military or you have to, don't take the ASVAB. I had the Army at my parents' doorstep for two months even after I moved and started college because of my ASVAB score (had West Point send me an invitation, too).
Once I narrowed down my options to a school or two, I ignored the rest unless they caught my eye. Many I didn't even bother to open unless they had the name of my picks on them.
Might I suggest a Recycle Bin?

lol, explain. Too late for me, I just got a west point letter today. I don't plan on going into the military though, I'm a peace, love, and music kind of girl!
Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery. Basically, it measures how qualified you are for various military positions.

You know back in middle school, I went by the name of Alex, which is my middle name and my first name is Melodie. Well, sometimes I get stuff from credit cards... like 4 letters from the same place. One is mailed to Mel Bavol. Second to Alex Bavol. Third to Melanie Bavol, and last to Melodie Bavol. So, it's all to me, basically. The same card... 4 times.
