My thoughts are in somewhat of a mix tonight but keep reading if you do wish to.
Something I've really taken to heart and not just in a cliche kind of way is this: WHO CARES? Who cares what other people may think if you are doing something you really enjoy? Something you're really proud of? Who cares what you look like to anybody else besides yourself and in the eyes of God? And also: SO WHAT? So what if someone thinks of you a certain negative way because of what you choose to do, of who you choose to surround yourself with? What can you do about it if what you do reflects what you believe? And if what you do does not reflect what you believe, where is the justification of doing the things you do?
The thing with "other people" is that no one else's opinion is as sustainable as your own of yourself. No one else can determine for you what makes your own choices valid or acceptable. Societal norms should not set the bar for you. YOU set the bar for you. Whether that be low or high, that's for you to recognize and achieve.
And then ask yourself one question: How can I be trusted?
By trusting yourself. If you can't even love yourself, who can?! It's scary how simple that actually is. And once you love yourself for who you are or what you choose to do, who can tell you you are anything less? No one. Not the people who see you every once in a while in the hallways and judge you on behalf of not even half the things you do; not even the people who call you up on a random occasion just to see what you've been up to and end up running away and hiding because they're fearful of what you've done and they are fearful that they can't come to accept you for it; and when you are sure of who you are and when you are fully conscious on behalf of the choices you yourself have made, not even the people who are closest to you can tell you who you are based on the path you've chosen to go down. Afterall, it is your very own decisions that you have made, not theirs to tell you if it's right or wrong. It is not their right to. Don't let anybody determine who you are based on just what you do. Don't let others' opinions stop you from doing what you think is right. Don't let anyone's preconceived notions about you hold you back.
In the beginning, middle, and end, before all else has succeeded and before all else has failed, the Lord is the ONLY ONE who knows your true colors best.
So who are YOU planning to impress tomorrow?

i really liked this one, i believe it is God who you actually have to impress. The only One who knows you better than you know yourself...this was nice!
