Fair and Balance?

So I was reading about how right wing extremist are pushing this bill call academic freedom, where the teacher would had the power to question evolution?

The bill is disguise as free speech bill would let the teacher had the freedom of speech to teach scientific base information that is different from evolution.

The people who back this is about protecting a teacher freedom of speech and their right to teach alternative scientific base information and that this had nothing to do with pushing radical right religious dogma on anyone because the teacher is the one who decide whether or not the student will be given the information of alternative accurate scientific base information.

The rights wingers believe that failure to include alternative accurate scientific information is an insult to the science information because as scientist, they had a job to make sure accurate science is teach. They also believe that allowing alternative accurate scientific base information in class is just providing all the information that is needed to a student in a science class.

This got me thinking, if someone wanted to teach your child in math class that 2 + 2 = 5 instead of 2 + 2 = 4 or that there should be a debate of whether or not the earth is flat under the disguise of academic freedom, saying that if a math teacher want to question whether or not 2 + 2 = 4, they should had the freedom to do it?

What if the teacher start teaching that gravity is not a problem of the earth's core but an act of other greater, more intelligent force such as?

"Things fall not because they are acted upon by some gravitational force, but because a higher intelligence, is pushing them down," said Gabriel Burdett, who holds degrees in education, applied Scripture, and physics from Oral Roberts University. (The Onion)

The question left is, will you be okay with people teaching your children that 2 + 2 = 5 or that the earth is flat or that intelligent fall is the reason behind gravity because it is scientific base information?

Just check out this funny the onion news article about intelligent falls:
