A Poem for Mom

Never has there been a time when I didn't love you
You stood by me with love and patience
Always rooting me on
Always there to pick up the pieces
You taught me it's ok to make mistakes

As a teen I didn't understand
But now I'm a mother
It's now that I understand
As time passes I realize what a strong woman you really are
I admire you
I love seeing you with your grandchildren
and hope it never leaves my memory

You taught me what it means to be a woman
