Does the night scare thou?
When it falls the heart jumps in thy breast,
But only a slight flutter,
Because he is there.
His dark cloak falls over the sky,
And the antic-face thou may call the moon,
Looks down upoun the wide, wonderous world,
And his tears, the stars, are all that he owes.
He will cover all of the beauty,
In his anger and grief,
And hide the ocean and god-given forest,
In cold,dark shadows.
* * *
But wait a bit,
Something is coming on the horizon,
At first he thinks it is nothing,
But then he sees it is something wonderful,
It is her,
The glorious sun,
Letting her sweet rays wash the world in gold,
And bringing light to all that is wonderful,
Thy moon watches thy morn,
As Posideon's waves are caressed by her touch,
So they are calmed to a slow dance,
And thou is no longer afraid of its hidden depths,
The night is gone and his savior has come,
And all that is well is restored,
The transparent night with his true love,
the day,
Before he completely fades into her light,
She sweetly kisses his tender moon cheek,
With her long golden beams,
And thou hast never seen such a lovely pair,
But thy story is not yet at its end,
For something wicked from the earth's edge stirs,
And threatens the heavenly couple,
Something form the underworld ready to kill their love.
