Calling all college Student

So I was reading an email from a friend of a friends where the email tell each other that what one should know and what one should learn by the time one become thirty years old. So I got this idea, as a college student what do you suggest for all college student. Here is the question:

Name one thing you should know and one thing you should learn by the time you graduate from college. For me it is this:

What you should know:
That college isn't just fun and game because if you mess up, you will be kick out of school.

What you should learn:
How to get books for a cheaper price by going online to Campusi, where you can buy books (new or used) for a cheaper price than in the bookstore on campus. You will save money and earn some money when you sell the books you brought from online to the school bookstore.

So what about y'all? I hope you add some information onto the list.

Well, I have a 'wish I had known' thing to add...

I'm about to graduate, and I realize how difficult it is to get research experience after your undergrad... most internships are either aimed at sophomores and juniors, or want you to have previous experience, and those that don't are extremely competitive.

One should know that college is not as hard as you think. Study and turn in every fucking assignment that is ever assigned and you'll be fine.

One should learn how to write a good paper.

depends on what your major is and what school you go to. I go to one of the top nursing schools and it isn't quite that easy.

Nonetheless, people have the tendency to think that college is going to be impossible, and while it will probably be more difficult than high school (it wasn't for me, but I also killed myself with work in high school), it's not impossible. It's the same phenomenom going into medical school... you hear all these stories about how it's impossible to remember everything (it's comparable to drinking water from a firehose, as people like to say), but then people get there and realize it's not AS hard as they thought it was going to be.

Well i can't speak on medical school, but i thought I would flunk out of college cause everyone told me it's so much more work. And my first semester i struggled to get a 2.8, but now that the initial shock is over I never get below a B. not trying to brag or anything.

What you should do? Travel.
What you should learn? How to live on your own.

One thing you should know: To start working on your papers before the day they are due. Writing under pressure is great, but when you have 4 papers to write and three hours to accomplish it all, you're bound to screw up somewhere.

One thing you should learn: It's okay to still be clueless about what you want to do, even if you are graduating.

Thing to know: How to study/prepare for whatever in your own way. If that means you need 10 days to prepare for a test, take ten days. Don't short change yourself.

Thing to learn: How to do what you love.
