In my opinion, all laws should be reopened to dispute every 100 years. Where I live, in New England, there are still a bunch of laws that from the 17th century. And they don't pertain to murder or anything, they're just old relics of sexism and Puritanism. There are Blue Laws in New England that state that no alcohol may be sold on Sundays or after 8 pm., for instance. Why not? I assume that the Sunday restriction is due to its being "the day of the Lord" in the eyes of the Christian writers of the law. But this country is not a theocracy and people should be able to buy alcohol if they are 21 or older at any time, regardless of the day of the week.
There are also a few old laws in Hartford that state that women can't be on top in any sexual activity. Having that law in the General Statues is highly sexist, not to mention outdated. I realize that this law is probably not enforced, but it's the principle of the thing. Having such a law is sending out a message of sexism. Let's get a referendum in here and get rid of these relics of the Puritan age!

Some states still outlaw cohabitation, even though those laws are not enforced. And yet, having that law still makes difficulties.
