So.... Usama bin Laden released a new video to ABC News. Appearently this 30 minute message is directed towards the citizens of the United States about the war in Iraq and American Politics. He notes how the percentage of U.S. Citizens against the war in Iraq is increasing. He also notes, however, that the people still elected George W. Bush for a second term, citing that American citizens probably never really gave a damn about foreign policy (as Bush is not the greatest diplomat in the history of organized government). There is no direct threat in the video however an ulitimatem has been issued for the end of the war in Iraq. Either, The U.S. will be crushed in Iraq or the American people shall convert to Islam... And I a proud Christian man am not ready to give up my beliefs and faith. However, I do like to hear both sides and analyze.... He says the reason to convert to Islam would be to have the politics run to please us so they can keep office... For they would do anything such as pull out of Iraq... just to keep themselves looking good. As we all know that the majority of politicians lookout for themselves. I do not agree that those are the only two ways to acheive peace. There are always alternatives. It will be hard to keep Bush from colonizing foreign soil, but we the people of the United States of America must band together. Be we Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Pagan, Wiccan, Atheist, LaVeyan Satanist, Agnostic, or anything else I am sorry I forgot, we must united as a peaceful people and try to end the bloodshed in Iraq.

thank you for writting this. YOur blog was very informative. If the video was real or fake it's still induces fear. It's scary to think that somone who opposes the U.S. wants the war in Iraq to end too, as Americans do.

We made so much fun of this at my work the other day. Really a video does nothing. The dude apparantly dyed his beard black to look younger. I haven;'t seen the video yt, but on the news it said that there are no 'actual' real threats made toward America. It's just a commentary video about our policies, like you said. If there are no threats made why headline the news with AMERICA ON ALERT!!! like there's a big massive tornado coming and everyone must cover for safety.
And, it doesn't even matter if he treatens us. Bush will probably ignore it again just like he did before 911... hence 911.
