Last year my school district passed a ruling to ban all junk food from schools, including High school. Luckily I graduated just in time. They got rid of all the soda's and instead replaced them with juice drinks, most of which contain 1% real fruit juice and more sugar than soda. They took out the cookies, candies, pizza, chips and what's left? pretzels, fatty cheesy ham sandwichs, and fruit that looks unfresh and barely ediable. All this to try and stop obesity.
when I went there I would have appreciated a healthier selection of foods, but it still doesnt look they did that. They are goign about it all wrong. they shouldnt punish everyone. They need to having more health classes and more phyisal fitness classes. Also, psycologists would help those that eat for emotional reasons.
they had good intentions, but aren't doing anything good. Im just glad I got out when I did.

Well, i kind of agree with taking out all the soda and "Junk food". We go to school to learn about trying to live healthy lives. having this junk in school doent help to live healthy lives. Although, sandwiches are fatty they have some nutrition to them. Chips, soda, and candy have no nutritional value but to sit in your stomach and turn in to fat. Some people may not understand why they do this but in the long run its helping everyone whether one realizes it or not.
I miss my caffeine
I think if a kid wants to eat a bunch of trash and never exercise which leads to being obese, let them. I drink sodas and eat candy, but I'm intelligent enough to do it in moderation and exercise regularly. Don't punish everyone for the mistakes of others.
100% My school recently banned all fatty foods. Now a teacher who has been giving out candy as a reward since she began work there a decade or two ago can no longer do so.
