Information Age? Not so much.

This may sound vain but as I was attempting to look up information and pictures of hair cuts/styles from the sixties I found that I could find nothing. Within the masses of things that popped up on google, yahoo, etc. I realized the internet is really a sea of useless information, you tend to get two or three good sites if that, sometimes nothing. Growing up in the "information age" may seem ideal to older people beacuse they had to go to the library and look at books for that information , but honestly that actually seems more appealing. It may be more work but at least you'll get results. I mean the info. that does come up tends to be the same old rhectoric, from the research papers i wrote most of the info. I had to get was basically the same.

I KNOW, i know , i know, history is "the same" but everyone has different points of view, and mine is living in this age which is supposed to have so many more opportunites and so much information to "expand our horizons" makes me want to experience it and look for it myself rather than hoping that typing something in the computer will give me everything I need.

Freal, I never could find the sixties cuts or style, it just took in the word style or cut and took me to some completely random site about style and flair clothing wise, interesting, but not what I need. Useless much.

I know what you mean. Sometimes it can be challenging to find precisely the right thing on the internet, but it is out there. Personally, I think the internet is the BEST invention of all time. All information is available! It's amazing! You just need to know how to find what you're looking for.

PS. I was going to insert the first two results I got from google images searching "60's hair," but I can't figure out how to work images into here...

Please don't take this as a personal attack, but are you going to denounce many years of technological growth on account of you not finding 60's hair styles on one specific website? Since you may not be as internet-literate as I am, let me try to help you by offering a simple solution to your problem, and JUST ONE example of how far the internet/technology age has come:

Yahoo Answers

Go there and type in "Sixites hair style"

I will even place the links for two questions that people have posted that are the EXACT same as yours:

The price of having all the extra information on the internet is having to sift through it to find what you're looking for. There is more information, it's just not terribly organized. And you know, if the internet does frustrate you, the library is still there. There's no need to rely on the internet for everything (although it may be ideal for a passing whimsy of hairstyle).

If you're having trouble finding information on the internet, it's almost certainly your fault. You need to search in the right places with the right key words.
