On this year's mommy's day (as my kids' call it), I am going to do everything the same. Cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, clean and play with my children. No expensive gifts, no huge dinners, just my kids and I. I will not get or take a break and that is okay by me. I am a mother everyday and will be for the rest of my life. I want to say to all the mothers out here that you work hard and you are being the best mother that you can possibly be. And sometimes, damn it, on some days it gets hard. Motherhood is like puberty, it has its ups and its downs. But when my kids call my name, it is the most beautiful sound. You are strong. You are tired but it is all in the same. So this year on this mommy's day, I'd like to say I am proud of all of you. You are hard working, beautiful and resilient. In this next year, let's continue to raise healthy, happy children. Let's continue to forget to comb our hair, lose sleep because he/she was sick but still go to work and make sacrifices in the sake of our children. And not to mention, falling asleep on the couch because you have fed them, bathe them, played with them and now they are finally in bed and you are not moving another inch. Celebrate with a nap, a cookie or whatever makes you feel good. From one mommy to all the others, Happy Mommy's Day.
Someone had to say it!
