Today public prisons are popular, but I believe that private prisons would help the crime rate in the U.S. go down.
As a result of the increasing number of inmates, jails are becoming overcrowded and the inmates are sent to prisons far away from their city. This is inhumane because their family wouldn’t get a chance to visit their jailed family member unless they make a trip across a state border. If more private prisons were established this wouldn’t be a problem and jail wouldn’t be so horrible to the inmate.
Although building private prisons would be more costly, they are vital because they would prevent released criminals from continuing a criminal life. An overcrowded, hostile jail life will not encourage an inmate to become a good citizen when they re-enter society, it will further anger them and cause them to continue victimizing American society. However, with the construction of jails with more cells, inmates will feel more humane especially with the surplus of programs and recreational activities. Jail conditions will be better and when inmates re-enter society, they will most likely, not re-enter prison.
Hopefully is it not just me who sees this issue as a topic of urgent attention.

What is the difference between public and private jails? And if jail becomes more...present, wouldn't that be a bad thing? If going to jail isn't so bad, then people will be more likely to commit crimes because jails provide better housing for the inmates. Then again, ill treatments of an inmate would be inappropriate. I need some time to think on this....
In private prisons, there's better treatment than in public prisons. MOre jails wouldn't be a bad thing because prisoners would be cared for more, watched over more, and that could decrease conspiracies of escape.
