So maybe you've heard of this, or maybe not:

There was a large earthquake and tsunami near the Solomon Islands. 28 people have died so far, and many more are becoming ill. Yet, the news coverage for this was minimal. People are waiting for aid, and nothing is happening. Why hasn't the U.S sent some sort of aid? I remember when the tsunami hit in 2004 and everybody wanted to do something. Now its like "Who cares, same ole same ole, I wonder who Anna Nicole's baby's daddy is". Why is relief so slow for this?
Are there any groups trying to raise aid for this cause? I'm interested in trying to help the people who have suffered from this disaster.

Heres some more from CNN on the Solomon's:

So now diesease is setting in, and aid is needed even more then ever. Why isn't this getting more coverage? These people need aid, and it seems like no one cares.
