Every night, millions of people sit down to watch the evening news or they read the paper each morning. They read about what's going on in their city, their state, their country and in the world. Most times what exactly is written or said is taken for face value. How much of it is 100% true? When a news story comes on the television do you really know everything? Think about it a lot of the stuff they show is told to invoke the emotion of the people. The media is biased and there's no beating around the bush on that. That fact isn't always noticed though. People hear what they are told and just go along their merry way thinking they know everything.
With news about the going ons of the military is mostly where the news is biased. They say what they want and then the people accept it. Half of what goes on in the military and over there in Iraq we don’t know anything about, but we act as if we do. The media talks about how horribly things are going on over there. But how much do we hear about the good that is happening?
Also with politics the news is exceptionally biased as well. Ever seen or heard a conservative journalist at all? It’s a rare thing. Today Bush is a horrible man who knows nothing. Come one, the man has done a lot of good and knows nothing? He went to Yale for crying out loud, you don’t get in to that school unless you have an outstanding GPA. He started the “No Child Left Behind” Act, last time I checked that was something good. Also he was the President who helped this country get through after the attack of 9/11. President Bush has done a great deal of good for this country, even if the media tells you otherwise.
The news, although good, isn’t fully right. Don’t take what they say for face value. Think about it for yourself and decide is this really right? Just because they say in the paper or on the news, doesn’t mean it’s the absolute truth.
Media: How true is it?

And this is why I make sure to use multiple news sources, including international ones. If you want news you need to learn to read between the lines and research.
There have been reports of New York Times journalist making up false stories just so they could have a story. The media is made up of people, and people are flawed. Never take anything at face value.
