So I literally just finished the Diary of Ellen Rimbauer. It is a diary of the woman who first lived in the mansion Rose Red in Washington in the early 1900's. I'm sure you may have heard about Rose Red from the Stephen King movie and I guess there was a TV series on it. Well, it seems to poor Ellen that this huge mansion that her oil tycoon husband commisioned to be built is actually a living thing that feeds off of those inside it. I guess that would be a valid reason if you had people keep vanishing into it's own walls never to return.
Anyway, this book was awesome. I would have to admit that I am a believer in haunted places since I've grown up in a very old (and very creepy) house. I could barely put the darn book down it had me so hooked. Sadly, I will admit I pulled out the old trusty unicorn nightlight from my childhood and plugged that sucker in after reading a few certain diary entries.
Whether or not you're a believer in paranormal things or not, it's still a good book. You could read it and pretend it's fiction too. I'd recommend it.

oh, I just went on the internet and red about the mansion, I think now you got me hooked into this story. I want to know more about it =P
You really should read the book. It kinda fell into my line of vision at the 'books for sale" section and I had overlooked it at first. When it happened again I finally picked it up and had to get it. It's a good read. I would tell you more about it but I don't want to spoil it!

I'll make sure to look it up the next time I'm out in the stores.
