What's up with our Youth???

What the heck is going on today?? I mean come on, my ten year old sister, in fifth grade mind you, was going to school with another young lady who got pregnant!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! Tell me, does that seem wrong, or am I just not living up to the times we are in. What times are we in?? Fifteen year olds getting nude pictures taken, and fifth graders doing drugs and getting pregnant. Not only are we allowing a future generation to lower their standards, but we aren't doing anything about it.

I went to see a movie not to long ago: Horton Hears a Who; I absolutely loved it. Cutest movie I have seen in a long time. but I noticed one thing about it: the adult humor. I wouldn't have minded.... if I hadn't known that the movie was rated G. This, ladies and gents, is just another prime example of how we desensitize our youth, and corrupt their fragile minds.

We want to tell our young that they aren't grown up enough to do the things they think they can do. But then we turn around and let them watch these movies with violence and crude humor, and we feed their technology craved minds with cell phones and laptops and allow them to go to these sites which are only hurting them more.

This is our future generation . Now the question is: Can we turn it around before it is too late?

That's a tough question. I hope so.
Parents need to start parenting again.

I know what ya mean...my younger sister in sixth grade is always telling me about how kids talk and act at her school. About how they twist almost everything said into something perverted.. In part, I blame the music these kids listen to. The parents, however- whether they know it or not- have a huge impact on how their children interact with the environment around them.

I believe change is possible, there just needs to be more conscious awareness of this 'epidemic'. It'll take the will-power from the parents, to ensure that they are setting the best example that they can for their children...and -bottom line-, to let them know what is right and wrong.
