LOL! In reality, the string effect just references how things can all be related in linear vision, even if conceptually, or by plan and.or implementation they are not related. Yet, when I hear the term, I like to analyze the words in concept. String effect, hmmmm.
It sounds like it shows how things can be related in the mind just through symbols. Not just through a string of events that all have some form of something that connects them even when they aren't really connected, but more like a domino effect. How one string pulled in one certain way can cause a series of reactions down the line all as an affect of the way the string was pulled.
This poem is an example of such an effect, only it's a psychological "string effect".
That hole in the wall where you heard me crying that night,
How I’d love to show you the release I meant.
I laugh just thinking about what I’ll write.
“This is what I ran from,
Can you tell me how to make THIS right?”
My best friend,
This pen and this paper,
This majestic computer,
Better than gold and ancient pewter.
You didn’t like it,
When I hollered in your face,
you thought it a crime,
What about her, all that time,
My gorgeous young daughter?
Can you sooth her?
That’s what I left,
So I sit here single,
So I’m stronger,
With my celebratory jingle,
Just to see her twinkle.
You wanna fight that?
Wanna see me suffer?
So you’ve been there,
Now give that back to her father.
And no longer will I give in,
Basically no longer do I care.
And your stupid apologies,
No longer can I hear.
Lotsa love,
-Wildrose
