In New york an art gallery was scheduled to display a 6-ft sculpture of a nude Jesus, sculpted by Cavallaro, on Easter day but due to some outcries from many people they pulled it. It's said that the weekend it was to deput was just coincidental, not on purpose. Why should people be offended about the choco-Jesus? If it was just because Cavallaro made Jesus nude, then that can be understandable, but the vibe I'm getting from all this is that there is more to it than that. There's the religious (gag) factor that it was going to come out on Easter "Holy" week and that it might some how be offensive, but i don't understand exactly how. To me it's okay and that the sculpture would premiere on Easter week should look like some kind of tribute or something like that. Ya'll know? I don't really understand it but i thought it was interesting.
Whole new meaning of Sweet Jesus!!!!!

i dont think it has a lot to do with chocolate....it has to do with the statue being nude....it kinda bothers me even, and im not really that religious. I dont really want to see statues of any popular icons in the nude.
although God meant for us to be naked, we still shall respect those who are religious (and find it offensive)...especially if we want them to begin accepting people for who they are and not preaching judgements via the bible.
