As a three year wrestler I have experienced many things. I have suffered through elbows in the back of my head and having the air squeezed from my lungs. I have also done the same and worse to many complete strangers. I have pushed my body beyond any limit I thought I had. I have watched pools of sweat form around my hands as I attempted to do more push ups than I could count. Was it worth it? Yes.

After three years of wrestling I have learned that team sports have a real value. All of my teammates are truly my brothers and my coaches are like second fathers. I have realized the comradery that comes with a group is very valuable.

In some of my writings I may sound like a misanthrope and at times I am. However, I know that that is not the way to a fulfilling life. Real joy and a prosperous life comes through bonds and relationships made with other humans.

I always thought that the idea of joining groups was bullshit. I have learned that joining groups is where real joy can come from.

I think that it is a shame it took me so long to realize this.
