Seriously. I think I listen to music every single day. It amazes me how much wonderful music there is in the world. There are so many possibilties when it comes to creating music. There are so many different genres, so many different styles and sounds, and so many different messages that the music can carry out. I love all different kinds of music, and like different music according to my mood. There are songs that can cheer me up when I'm sad. Other songs bring back good or maybe bad memories. Some songs just help me relax and relieve stress.
Music also seems amazing to make and play. It is wonderful to watch someone playing an instrument or singing with such a passion, or having tons of fun. I have always wanted to play an instrument, possibly the drums. It is great to watch someone with a lot of talent playing an instrument/singing. When they are so devoted to what they are doing and they are enjoying what they are doing, it is just marvelous to watch and listen to the wonderful sounds they are making. There is more to the song than just the sound. There is everything and everyone that puts it together. I find everything about music truly amazing.
I wonder what the world would be like without music.
Speaking of a world without music, it is sad to know that music programs in schools get cut on budget cuts. I think it is unfair to people who love playing their instruments or singing, and are commited to doing so. Music programs are very good for kids that enjoy playing music, and also it is a wonderful extracurricular activity that makes for a well-rounded person. Also when kids play instruments they are more likely to do well in other classes If schools get rid of them, it is taking away money good things in a young student's life. School music programs should be kept.

Music is definietly a huge part of my life and I love it so much. I love all different types from classical, to pop, to country. The only kind I am not to found of is rap, but to each its own. Lately I've been really into country and a lot of my friends have been giving me crap for it because I live in an area where country isn't really popular. They assume that just because I like country I don't like pop or hip hop and other types of music. It seems like the type of music I listen to is based off of what type of mood I'm in. I really like country music to listen to when I'm just bored because I like the message that a lot of the songs bring across and I like that theres a lot of songs that are just fun and random.
Being involved in my school music program I don't think its fair for music programs to get budget cuts. I think music programs are the best way for a lot of kids to get involved if they are not the best sports player or just need an extracirricular activity to do. I think a good way to keep money into these programs is if schools set up free concerts to the public. It would definatly raise awareness about what these kids do and how much they learn from music. I also think participating in a music program helps kids learn how to work in a large group and small sectionals which is great and will come in handy later on in life.
I agree. I've been playing the viola for almost 10 years now and I couldn't imagine life without it. I hope that music will stay a part of our nation's schools forever.
As a music student and an athlete; we practice just as hard as the football players, and go to competitions also. I think it would be amazing if we had more money to expand our musical ability. Ultimatley I feel that music is more important to education then any sport. It actually helps with learning, rather then distracting it. I'm not trying to be mean to athletes, cause i am one, but music is more educational, then dancing around or running as fast as you can. Music can also help relieve stress. At least for me. :D
