AHH.

screamo music scares me.

i mean a little is okay but the whole song being entirely screamo hardcore music, just thinking about it scares me. To me, it sounds like devil music. I am sorry if you like it but why do you like it? what's the point? i know you're going to ask what's the point of liking rap music, or pop, or rock, or punk, ect. my answer is.. idk i just like it. haha it's okay if that's your reason too

I think it's because i just hear it and i don't like it at all. but maybe if i read the lyrics, then i would like it.

 who knows.

this is a random topic that just came up in my head.

i don't know why. i was listening to NSYNC. haha

no i do not only listen to NSYNC.

i looove rock music, pop, SOME hip hop, techno, and soo many more

Actually, I like screamo music and I can give you a reason other than "I just like it." Well, screaming obviously has a lot of emotional attachments, and if you know the lyrics, and listen to the screaming, I guess I think you can just feel the emotion stronger than any other way. It feels real to me. It's okay if you don't like it, but there's no way that it's devil's music. I mean, I don't even believe in the devil, but a lot of the things rappers are saying is like the root of evil. And, I don't think the devil has a certain sound, and if he did, I would picture it to just be completely out of tune music with no vocals, so yeah. :D

I think the main issue with Screamo is that some musicians don't find it to involve that much talent. And don't say that the physical toll that it takes on the singer's throat is something to consider because if there IS any damage done, it means the singer is not utilizing the proper technique to project the scream. One of my favorite bands in the entire world, Avenged Sevenfold, used to be considered "screamo" because their music stylings fit that genre. But even they realized later on that a musicians lifespan in the "screamo" genre only lasts as long as their vocal chords.

Don't get me wrong, screaming is great for emphasizing emotion where needed in rock music, with the "emotional attachments" that come with screaming as mentioned in the comment above. But if a whole song is done screaming, what is there to stand out and hit you in the face? Musicians want their music heard and their messages conveyed, but it's so hard to do that when the music becomes either unintelligible or just noise.

I actually enjoy screamo in the right enviroment, like if i was in my car, I probably wouldn't be listening to it. but in some basement for two dollars with like thirty or fourty other kids, it creates a really energetic atmosphere which is fairly enjoyable.
