~Crank to Glass~

Drugs are commonly used in our society. I don't think people realize how bad they really are or the effects they have on others. I read Crank and it's sequel Glass by Ellen Hopkins and it gave me a better understanding of what it's like. I enjoyed learning how drug addiction can even happen to somebody. How it ruins thier life and how if affects the people in thier life. The book is a collection of poems that tell the story. It is an easy read despite the large number of pages. It may look daunting because of it's sheer size but it's really not that long because the poems do not take up the whole page. I reccomend this series to any teen. I guearentee you'll love it. Ellen Hopkins has a number of books published I also read burned which was another awsome book.   

I wanted to post about Ellen Hopkins because I feel teens don't read enough. They believe there are no books that intrest them which is wrong you just have to know where to look. I also feel that Ellen Hopkins gives an accurate view of the modern day drug scene. Espically because her daughter went through it so she knows first hand how it is.
