On June 22nd, 2006 there was a downstate women and her husband touring the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and she "supposedly" fell off of a 150ft cliff, her husband denied it because he told police that he was using the restroom, and when he returned she mysteriously "vanished" Anyways, it took police like 3 months to take her husband into custody, and since Pictured Rocks is in my backyard, I knew all along her husband was the one that pushed her. Because, how can you just go to an edge of a cliff, knowing that it's a big drop and just fall, and there is also guard rails surrounding the edges of the cliff. So far I haven't heard anything new but I hope her husband gets life in prison, because my whole town, almost the whole Upper Peninsula knows her husband pushed her, because the facts all add up!
The gory part about this whole thing is that when investigators went to retrieve her body, they only found one shoe, and then that weekend I went on my boat and saw where the incident occurred and there was her other shoe hanging in a tree, and was later found by investigators.
I still have nightmares about this because nothing like this happens in my town, and seeing the location of the death is chilling.
