First one. Here we go.
I'm gonna vote in the Virginia primary tomorrow. First time I've ever voted; and until yesterday I was locked in. "Obama: He's the guy." That's what I was thinking, and now I'm not so sure. Why? Is the appropriate question to ask. Go ahead feel free to ask it. Its because of his non-support of universal health care. Health care reform and over haul he supports--but not on a universal level. He says, "People should have the right to choose." Choose what? Wether or not to be sick? And to the one thinking: "Universal health care is too bogged down and ineffective." I say: have you been to France? Obviously ya haven't. Few people have to wait months to fix a broken leg there, but here many people can't even be treated for the flu.
I really don't think its a terrible thing to make someone wait a month for their botox injection. I'd feel much better, personally, if the child with the flu went in line first. We frequently forget that healthcare is about humainty and making people feel better, not about making a cheap buck.
If Obama can't support that I'm not sure he's earned my vote.
Who Am I to Vote For?

Obama supports universal health care in America. "The time has come for universal health care in America."
You misinterpret the term 'universal health care-' it doesn't mean healthcare throughout the world, that is obviously an unrealistic and unattainable dream.
Also, universal health care isn't always the best option. Who's going to pay for it? And, should we find the money for it, doctors would get paid less, therefore creating less of an incentive for people to become doctors and to do well. Many people would take advantage of universal health care, as they do with many other government aid organizations, going to the doctor with 'just in case' mentalities.
Don't get me wrong- health care should be about helping people feel better, but there are better ways of fixing it than handing it out for free.
"Obama said his plan could save the average consumer $2,500 a year and bring health care to all."

Also.. the flu is caused by a virus, and doctors can't cure viral infections, only bacterial.
.. So actually, nobody can be treated for the flu, but I get what you're saying.
