Alright... I'm reading this book, called 100 People who are screwing up America (and Al Franken is 37).
It's horribly biased, and I don't think that this guy likes anyone.
at all.
And Courtey Love, in his book, is number 97.
First of all, it's not like she's an influtential person anymore.
Only 50% of the people in the computer lab right now know who she is...
oh, JD says he may have done a report on her.
Anyways, America's youth does not look up to her, because she's not a pop icon, or major figure at all really.

That is kind of ridiculous
Courtney Love is an extremely successful woman that has worked hard, married well, maintained mutilple careers while battling addiction, and is raising a very rich American child. She is weathier than most of the entire population of the U.S. The Kennedy's are admired and even voted for political office even though the family and its members are known for not only their drug and alchohol addictions but also for raping women and killing their own young.
As much as I hate Courtney Love, I really don't think she is screwing up America.

The list says she's screwing up America because she is a part of our society. Even though she is not popular anymore, she is still seen in the public eye from time to time. Everytime she completes another rehab session she is given a lot of publicity, then two weeks later she is drunk at another Hollywood party. That's the reason she is screwing up America. She gives Americans a bad name.
um courtney screwing up america? how old is the person that wrote this list? junior high school age? try our very own g 'dubbya' bush- and alllll of his horrible texan buddies that are making a 'killing' financially- and unfortunately, literally from our occupation of iraq... and it doesn't seem that the 'killings' are going to stop anytime soon.
so if the person that wrote this list could take a couple of minutes/hours to really think about- who's screwing up america, i don't think courtney love would even be in the list of 1,000.
so stop being a 'hater' and go and do something for yourself- instead of using the names of others, and their accomplishments to get your 15 minutes of fame, or should i say 15 seconds.
btw- i do know ms. thing aka c.love, and don't think for a minute that her life was/is a fairy tale!!! she's had some pretty nasty shit thrown her way- as far as life is concerned, and no matter how messed up you may think she is- her daughter is one of the most well rounded and not at all 'damaged' kids i've ever seen, and she's an adolescent!! so many folks thought she would be the poster child of every kind of bad thing you can think of!! and i'm so happy that that didn't turn out to be the case. so you have to give courtney BIG TIME PROPS for that!!! and i really hope that frances stay's in the good path that she seems to be heading in.

I personally, do not think celebrities influence America. Political officials should be doing that, not people who act, or do drugs. Oh wait, most people are on drugs that are influential and celebrities.
