Lower Drinking age

Things you can do at age 18:
You can vote.
Men have to sign up for selective service.
You can go to war.
You can be selected to jury duty.
You can buy a riffle.
You can play the state lottery.
You can buy cigarettes.
So at age 18, I can go to war and die. I can vote for the future president of the United States. I can also decided someone’s life by being on a jury and even buy a riffle. After all of these responsibilities, why can’t I be able to drink at age 18? The United States has the highest drinking age in the world! Most countries has a drinking age of 18. I think the United States should lover their drinking age like the rest of the world is doing. This could help police officers more focused on crimes and not kids who are partying in their homes. The police can then, be out and try to catch the real criminals out there. It would save so much time in courts and free up courts to do better things like sentencing the real criminals.

And again I say they should lower the word count on progressiveu. You can write good blogs that are under 200 words.

I have mixed feelings about the drinking age.

However, I don't have mixed feelings about the blog requirement... Progressive blogs should use proper English and back up points with support, explanations, examples, etc. In most cases this cannot be done properly in fewer than 200 words.

The thing is,I blog for a the main newspaper in Nashville, TN. I get published once a week in the paper. I would like to share these blogs here, but i cannot do that because they are short blogs. They are supposed to get the point across, and then cause people to discuss them. I think maybe 100-150 word limit would be better than 200.
