Feeling the cool air pass through my hair as I peel out of the school parking lot with my windows down, the beautiful weather, the lack of homework, AP testing, it can only mean one thing: Summer is almost here!
As I am about to graduate high school, the desire for summer has never been greater. The teachers envy us, but at the same time tell us to “cherish these moments, you’ll never get them back” and to that I say “good!” In case you have not read some of my other posts, I am kind of a pessimist with a different way of thinking and doing things. For example, when everyone was at prom I was watching “Iron Man”, when everyone is talking about how drunk they got ; I’m reading US Today, when people use the computers to check their facebook; I’m checking my stocks. Clearly, I don’t belong.
I cannot wait for the end of high school, college, and even a career. Our society has a flawed view of life and happiness. It is said that High school is fun and college is the best. There is something wrong about the best time of one’s life happening so early. I believe everyday is the best day and things only get better.
High school was okay. It had many shitty moments, and a few good moments. Pretty much second semester of the senior year made up for all of the rest of the bullshit. Perhaps I’ll share some of the bullshit in another posting, perhaps not; you’ve probably heard it all before.

Yeah, I totally think the whole mindset of high school being the best time of your life is flawed. I mean, if it's the best part, what are you going to do with the rest of your life? If things can't get better, what a depressing life it would be.
