Hey everybody reading this.
My name is Jessica and this is my first blog on this website. I've blogged before but typically its more like a journal. But here are somethings about me that I think you should know and that I might talk about...
I am a democrat. Not too liberal but not all the way moderate...i'm somewhere in the middle.
I'm on this website for the scholarship but if I get addicted to it then i'll stay on until well....the end of time.
I hate Bush and all his administration. The current government scares me. they scare me a lot. and the overall general population scares me too because they seem to be falling for everything that these guys pull.
The war in Iraq is ridiculous. i hate it. i'm not anti-military, i support the troops, just not their effort. My family is very military-esque. My grandpa was a colonel in the army, my uncle a general in the air force, my other uncle was high up in the army. I have a cousin in the air force, who just got back from Iraq. Another cousin went once with the air force and he's in the coast guard. and my cousin's husband has gone to the middle east 3...maybe 4 times....now.
I'm tired of paying so much money for gas. It's price gouging. and there needs to be a REAL investigation.
I need money for college super bad. I don't want to have TONS of loans in the end. I expect to have a lot but I want to minimize them as much as i can.
I am very involved in school. I am in Student Government, my school newspaper, dance company and NHS. I also was on the Governor's Youth Commission and ran the most amazing walk ever-Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research. I am passionate about volunteering and getting involved.
I plan on majoring in journalism and history next year and getting a minor in either poly sci or government. My dream job is to work for the New York Times, Newsweek or NBC (as a reporter, not a talking head!).
Thats kinda me in a nutshell. I'll post whatever comes to my mind on a particular day on whatever issue. maybe political maybe social maybe trashy entertainment! who knows? so keep checking back!
