My name is Dru and I am sixteen years old. I am a Junior in high school and I have a strong passion for music and God. I love sharing both with my closest friends. I also like to spend my time reading books. I don't exactly have a favorite book right now, but i have a feeling that Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell will be my next favorite when I'm finished with it.
I am about to get a job at a pizza place close to my home so that i can scrape up enough money to go to my dream college: Belmont University. The thought of working with food and having to be around so much of it makes me kind of sick, but I'm willing to do it for some extra money. I am going to major in songwriting and minor in music business, then become a record producer after i graduate. i have the basics of my future pretty much figured out, I just have to work hard to get all the kinks worked out right.
I know this doesn't really seem at all too progressive, but I just figured I would give everyone a little information about me to understand my future blogs later. I tried posting a blog on here once before, but i was in a rush and unfocused, so it turned out to be a little mediocre compared to a lot of other users' blogs on here. However, I will definitely put more time and concentration into the blogs to come.
Hey thank you for your comment... I love Perks of Being a Wallflower, my friend wanted me to read it and honestly, I got a new best friend out of it and my view of many things changed... its really wierd because it had a really amazing effect on me. But I wanted to recommend a book if you haven't read it yet - its called A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I think that is his last name...yeah.
