Oh Death! The more we run from you,
the closer we come to you each day.
All of our effort has been in vain.
We all were born but to be trapped in your cruel net.
No single person can escape you in any way.
We just do not know what to say about you.
You are the lover of those who hate life.
But you are the greatest enemy of those who love life.
Though little less than a God you are, you spare no
Gods of your trap. I have a question to you, though.
Do you kill us because you hate us so much or love us?
Why can you not leave us all alone?
Are you jealous of us for being who we are?
You must have answers for what you do,
because you will not kill us for no reasons.
You limit our human freedom by taking our lives.
You cut off our greatest potential.
You turn our long-waiting dreams but into mere nightmares.
What have you to do with us really?
A cup of red wine turns but into a cup of blood
because of your presence in our lives.
You break our hearts by taking away our beloved mothers,
fathers, brothers, sisters, friends and everyone we so dearly love.
Are you not too mean and cruel to us?
We will love you instead of hating you if you spare us?
We do not really want to hate you
because it is no good to hate each other.
But, what would life be without you, then?
I certainly do not want to live more than a hundred years.
Some times, people can be so cruel, un-thoughtful, and unjust.
Life is far too miserable in this way.
You may be the solution to our human sufferings in one way.
