Affirmative Action is RACIST!!

First, I would like to establish the fact that I am NOT a racist in any way.  As you can see from my other posts, I have been exposed to other parts of the world, and am very liberal on most issues.  However, I think that affirmative action programs inhibit the educational system and are racist against whites, as well as African Americans, and other minorities.  Whites set up affirmative action to assist the minority community in receiving equal education.  STOP right there; this is saying that African Americans and other minorities are incapable of achieving admission into the same schools as whites.  RACIST!!  African Americans and others have the same intelligence as other whites, they are just supressed in opportunities.  I know, I know, some will say that affirmative action balances these problems of unequal opportunity, but we need to fix the source of the problem before we fix the problem itself.  If a house is continually being flooded by a leaking pipe, do we continue to pay the repair costs and fix the house, or do you patch the pipe up so the house will not be flooded?  The same principle applies to this situation.  Secondly, because it excludes a race, affirmative action is acting as a racist inhibitor to white students that achieved more in school than their minority counterpart, but are denied admission because of the color of their skin.  Reverse discrimination cannot take place in the United States education system.  It is diluting our educational quality and the quality of our college graduates.  We need to cut affirmative action, and take REAL action in fighting the source of unequal education (underfunding, unqualified teachers, etc.)
