School Shootings

I justed read a blog about school shootings and I just wanted to give my take on the subject. People who shoot other people in my opinion have to be pretty messeed up in the head but I think that they are for lack of better word lost souls. I think they have had huge problems their whole lifes and their brain just changes to think that killing is ok. No I'm definatley not saying that shooting people is in anyway ok or right but I think that if somebody had caught those peoples problems at an early age then maybe they wouldnt have shot somebody. Where was the teacher or guidance counsler or parent? What made these people snap in such a way that they had no way out orno way to feel better then kill people. I've had a rough life have wanted to hit people before so I in some very small way sympathize with those people but I have never wanted to kill somebody. People who are that deranged really need to find help. They need medication or somebody to talk to or somebody to befriend them. If only somebody had seen it early on then those people wouldnt be dead. I really am not saying that those people did something that was ok I'm just saying that if only somebody had caught the problem early on then those people wouldnt be dead. And I think that shooting people at school kinda makes sense to me. I mean really when do you hate people the most.? Highschool. When do people make you the most angry? Highschool etc etc. But still if only somebody had caught the problem early on. That thought keeps lingering in my head.

Many people have an ability to keep their mental disorder a secret. They develop habits so people will not notice their odd behaviors. They have an ability to put on a different personality around others. While there may have been warning signs for some of these shootings, one must also examine the severity of the signs they have seen. In many of these interviews, one professor would notice one symptom while a friend may see another, but oftentimes they do not display enough symptoms to get checked out.

Don't get me wrong; I am not saying that catching these kids early would be unhelpful. If these symptoms are caught, they should be examined, but another issue is raised. How many children, teenagers and college students within the United States have access to the healthcare they need to see a psychiatrist, counselor or doctor?

True Very true, Not everyone is capable of getting help. And I didnt think of them hiding it. That's all very true.

There are not enough being done to help. I heard of one story recently that school wanted to move a student at this private school to a different one (which would have only saved him money) for this autistic student. Parents should be advocates of their kids education in this fact. Also if there is a mental illness this should not stop at 18 but be able to help the student cope.
