Above is a review of "Darwin's Black Box," a book I was told to read. Being a college student, I'm taking the "I don't have time, so I'm using sparknotes" approach. What I've founf out about the book from this and numerous other sources:
The Intelligent design theory is based on numerous approximations with giant errors, and is based around the denouncation of Darwinism. ID and Darwinism are not opposities. You cannot prove ID by disproving Darwinism. And there has been no proof to disprove Darwinism, while numerous experiments (especially the catfish experiments) have worked to prove and actually show evolution.
The scientific method is based on observation and experimentation. ID is based solely on theory. There are no experiments designed to prove ID in any way, whereas experiments have proven evolution.
When something has been proven or any link to proving it has been shown, it should be taught in a science class. If I were to walk into a chemistry class and say magnetism exists because invisible gnomes pull magnetic forces together, and that I was researching it, but haven't quite proven it yet, you'd say I was crazy and ask me to leave the room. You can't base something on theory, because theory says a bumblebee can't fly, and theory says that the Charge between two opposite charged lines of charge is 0, but we know neither of these are true. If theory worked, then why didn't Reaganomics work? Give me tangiable proof before you try to integrate it into my future son's curricilum.
And to every blunt Christian out there, learn to accept the fact that not everyone in this world believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Persecuting people for not believing in a creationist's doctrine is disgraceful to Christianity. People, use your minds, because when you absentmindedly follow what someone else feeds you, you take one of God's greatest gifts for granted. Darwinism was scrutinized, reevaluated, and changed, improved. Blind faith is the bane of society and of intelligence.

but just because there are no scientific experiments to date (that YOU know of) that doesnt not mean that there are none done, or in the process.
Yeah you never know.
Rosso,
Blind faith isn't the bane of society. wha is the bane is is forcing others to believe the same way.
Independent thinkers are much more accepting of all faiths and all realities. But the blind NEED to rely on the clique as much as a druggy doesn't like to do drugs alone.
The bane of people and what turns this country into the catastrophe of the Jon Scopes era is people not accepting proven facts and instead accepting a theory on a whim. I've done digging and have not found a single experimental fact to prove the existence of an intelligent designer. The mere quest to search for such a thing experimentally is counterintuitive. Kansas and Dover blatantly try to force creationism into schools, and people look for experiments to prove God exists? That is counter to what any intuition would tell you. Schools do not force kids to think one way, but they shouldn't present a theory that has absolutely no factual support.
There are many experiments that seek to confirm that aspects of evolutionary theory are plausible. But your assertion that evolution has proved is not true.
As for intelligent design, the same is true. There have been more successes with physical experimentation in the evolutionary category though.
However all the convincing evidence for both arguments is iconical and anecdotal. Hardcore evolutionists and hardcore intelligent design peeps are both going on faith.
