This is a closer look at the plan mentioned in the blog before this. If you havne't looked at that yet, please do take a look.
The plan for Haiti was born out of the Presidential Elections. I was thinking one day: if Obama can raise $32 million, why can't somone raise money for something a little more...noble. Not that running for the President of the United States isn't noble
So I decided the project would start with the church. If the church is meant to serve God and help out the world, then it would be the perfect starting point, right? So I began writing up what to say to the church. You can see the current copy attached. This letter will be hitting the first church board meeting this weekened, Sunday, April 12, 2008. I will be at this church, the one I attend, and explain to them what the project is about. I will ask them to donate a set sum of money, or pass around a plate and ask for every person to donate one dollar. After all, if every church has 50 members, and every member donates a dollar, there will then be $500 after 10 churches. Good odds!
This weekend I will watch the response of the church, and decide what can be done better when approaching the next church. I will also put together a group of people who can help me: a writer, two prayer/conflict resolvers (what group doesn't have problems), an idea creator, an accountant, and a pastor who can put me in contact with other churches. I think this is a good start to a group, keeping in mind that other people may join and then we'll grow.
After the church, I hope to enter the business world and ask for donations, but that is in the future. It's an option yet left unexplored.
And so the point of this post is like the last: I'm opening my plan up to you so that you, people with good thinking minds, can offer some help and ideas. People have already suggested some good ideas, and we'll be seeing those in effect soon (I hope).
Until next time, please pass this place on to your friends. The more people we get thinking, the better!
Grace and peace.

Good for you for trying this project. We need more people willing to try to make a difference in this world!
Be prepared to answer questions such as, "Where exactly will the money go?" or, "How will my money help?" "What percentage of my money actually goes to help people?" etc... Load yourself up with all the info and details. People will be more willing to donate if they know where the money is going.
What you're doing is great. Good luck!
