I understand it now! Everytime I've been flagged (see http://www.progressiveu.org/162308-censorship-on-progressiveu and http://www.progressiveu.org/195536-censorship-here ), I talked about socialism. In fact, in my most recent escapade of flaggage (gotta love those neologisms), I changed the word socialism to the Soviet Union, and my comment was posted. Is there something wrong with mentioning socialism that I should know about? Maybe because socialism undermines the progressive effort (have to love their claims of being a nonpartisan social welfare group). How can you be nonpartisan and be a social welfare group? How can you be nonpartisan and be progressive? Well whatever. It's definitely not because my "IP address was used to post spam." So much for intelligent debate, eh?

I didn't save any of the comments (or potential comments, being that they were never posted). Until my most recent use of the s-word, I had been defending ideas that weren't exactly progressive.
In one, I stated that I didn't consider myself a progressive because I associate them with the Americans in the early 1900s who were responsible for a slew of welfare programs which continue to shatter our economy and destroy life for the jobless.
In another, I defended a kid who talked about how Hitler explained his ideals in Mein Kampf (that he never talked about extermination, just relocation. The idea of Nazism was to separate races into nations in order to boost national esteem everywhere), comparing the inconsistencies in Nazism in theory to that in practice with the s-ism (codeword) that failed in the Soviet Union.
I then commented on your blog without any trouble. After which I tried to comment on the blog about nazism with the same trouble until I changed the s-word to "the Soviet Union."

It might be coincidence, but I've learned those don't really exist.
I remember Drupal having a "censored word list." The "s-word" might be one of em.
I think it's time to develop code words, so you might be onto something, too!

About your Nazi comment, i guess what people do in theory and what actually happens is what really gets you in life. I posted a blog about how i was pro communism, boy that didn't go over to well in the ProgressiveU community. In theory i am, but in reality power corrupts.
Regarding your comment about the early 1900's and social darwinism, i think something needed to be done at the time. The Progressive Movement sure made itself known for a few years there and they did try to accomplish a lot. Better work wages for farmers, rules and regulations for the evil railroad barons...numerous things like that. Of course this all led to the roaring twenties which led to the great depression. I do have to agree with you that this is a cause of some of the welfare issues we are currently having.
You seem to know about the time period and i would like to hear more about your point of view on this subject even though it is probably going to be censored.
