Right, I knew it. You actually thought that you were about to learn about some celebrity's baby, and right now, you're just about to click away and forget that you even started reading this.
But hear me out on this. Give me a good 5 minutes, okay?
The whole saturation in the media today about mindless celebrities is simply appaling. How did the once-reputable news networks such as CNN and MSNBC become so infatuated with this garbage? Honestly, what do Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Tom Cruise contribute to this country? The only purpouse that these fools serve is to entertain a public that would rather vote for the umpteenth American Idol than the next President.
Today's media outlets work off of a "give America what it wants to see and hear," something that is increasingly proving our apathy towards world events that truly matter. News time that could be spent on investigating how oil companies invest their profits is lost to such garbage as Michael Jackson's pre-trial antics.
And don't defend these Hollywood whackos by claiming that they try to better society. Clearly, they're stupifying it. If you buy into Tom Cruise's ridiculous beliefs that aliens from glaxies you've never heard of are the reason you feel sad, then you're just as stupid as he is. Don't let yourself be force-fed these outlandsh opinions.
Hollywood actors are not meant to be taken seriously, so don't give them the time and attention that they think they deserve. There are much more important thngs to worry about.
